Governance In Singapore

1. What is the main role of a government?

The main role of a government is to manage the country's resources to provide a stable and secure environment for its ctizens so that their quality of life. Singapore has a parlimentary system of government in which the laws and policies of the country are made by an elected group of people. The Singapore government comprises three branches : the Legislature, the Executuve and the judiciary.

2. What is a legislature?

The Legislature makes the laws; the Executive implements policies according to the law and the Judiciary interprets the law. Feedback channels provide the government with opporturnities to understand the needs of the people.
